Job summary

Methodist Midlothian Medical Center seeks a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures under physician supervision. You will support imaging, monitoring, and sterile technique in the cath lab.

Requirements include an associate or bachelor’s degree in science or healthcare experience, current ACLS, RCIS within six months, ARRT/TX RT(R) eligibility, and cath lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in science or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• RCIS certification within six months of date of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) eligible in lieu of RCIS.
• Cath or Interventional Radiology experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during any cath lab procedure, interpreting dysrhythmia and EKGs and operating physiologic recorder.
• Assists physician as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assists as circulator by monitoring patient status, handing supplies, and operating imaging equipment.
• Transports patients to and from the department and maintains cath lab stock.
