Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator for the Cardiovascular Stepdown unit at the Main Campus in Cleveland. The role supports patient care through efficient administrative tasks, admissions/discharges processing, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

The HUC ensures smooth unit operations, maintains patient records, answers calls, greets patients and families, and troubleshoots equipment to promote safe, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in a customer service-related role.
• Experience with typing, computer training or equivalent coursework.

Responsabilités

• Conduct an in-person greeting, welcome and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients.
• Respond to patient call lights and make rounds.
• Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Assist patients and families with wayfinding and direct them to available resources.
• Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care.
• Assist with unit clerical functions and in trouble-shooting equipment failures, such as call system, portable phones, WOWs and other unit devices.
