Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Clinical Unit Leader to oversee the Cardiovascular Service Line at Springfield Regional Medical Center. The role coordinates patient care, supports the clinical team, and drives efficiency and quality across the unit.

The Lead RN/Charge Nurse partners with the Clinical Manager, mentors staff, and ensures safety and patient satisfaction while maintaining optimal resource use. A BSN is preferred with an RN license in-state and related certifications desired.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state they are working or covered by compact.
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire)
• Certifications based on unit leadership (PALS, ACLS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, NB Certification) (preferred)
• Nurse Executive Certification or specialty certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient care on a designated unit under the supervision of the Clinical Manager.
• Acts as a clinical resource and role model for staff and may serve as a preceptor.
• Oversees unit operations, staffing, safety, and patient experience to ensure quality care.
• Facilitates communication with patients, families, and other departments to resolve issues.
