Job summary

Mercy Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU (Critical Care) at Springfield Regional Medical Center. The role focuses on delivering exceptional nursing care, assessing patient status, and implementing evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes.

Requirements include a BSN (preferred), active RN license, and BLS/ACLS; pediatric units may require PALS. Strong collaboration with the care team and leadership skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience (required).
• 6 months RN experience in Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or ED (preferred).
• Current state RN license.
• BLS; ACLS preferred at hire, ACLS within 6 months; PALS preferred for pediatric units (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Assess patient status and create plans of care.
• Perform clinical nursing interventions for acute/critical patients.
• Administer medications safely per policy.
• Provide a safe, therapeutic environment.
