Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago seeks a Staff RN-Cardiovascular to deliver direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative setting across Main OR and Cardiovascular OR. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff, following the nursing process from assessment to evaluation, with on-call rotation.

The role requires at least one year perioperative and one year cardiovascular OR experience, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training required
• One year previous Cardiovascular OR experience required
• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• ACLS (AHA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting in both the Main OR and Cardiovascular OR.
• Coordinate care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directing OR staff to maintain standards of professional nursing.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
• On call rotation is required.
