Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center is actively seeking a Staff RN for the Cardiovascular OR in Chicago. The role involves delivering comprehensive perioperative nursing care across the Main and Cardiovascular OR, coordinating with surgeons and anesthesiologists, and ensuring patient safety through the nursing process.

The RN must have perioperative experience, CVOR background, and active RN licensure with BLS and ACLS. On-call duties are required, with a 6:30am–3:00pm schedule and dayshift commitment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year perioperative experience or on the job training.
• One year previous Cardiovascular OR experience required.
• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• ACLS (AHA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting in Main OR and Cardiovascular OR.
• Coordinate care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist; guide OR personnel.
• Maintain professional nursing standards and participate in performance improvement activities.
• On call rotation is required.
