Job summary

Amgen seeks a Medical Science Liaison for Cardiovascular Metabolic in New York, covering Brooklyn and Staten Island. You will engage with cardiometabolic experts and decision-makers to communicate clinical and economic data and advance Amgen’s scientific platform.

You will educate payers, providers, and teams, support investigator-initiated studies, and contribute to local engagement plans while collaborating with cross-functional colleagues to drive value in patient care.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree required.
• Master’s degree with 3+ years Medical Affairs experience or Bachelor’s with 5+ years Medical Affairs experience.
• Preferred doctoral degrees (Pharm. D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O.).
• 5+ years of industry experience in Scientific or Medical Affairs.
• Two or more years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• Cardio-metabolic expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with cardiometabolic opinion leaders and healthcare decision-makers to communicate and advance scientific platform.
• Educate and communicate clinical value, outcomes and economic data to payers, providers, and key partners.
• Provide in-depth clinical and economic support to payers, IDNs, and formulary committees, and share insights with internal teams.
• Lead or participate on project teams to support MSL strategies and tactics and lead congress activities as needed.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and stay current with data to support MSL goals and training.
