Qualifications

Travel RN – Cardiac Surgery ICU (CSICU/CVICU)

Shift: Nights | 3x12 hours

Start: ASAP

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Cardiac Surgery ICU Registered Nurse for a high-acuity, Level I academic facility. The unit manages complex post-operative cardiac and thoracic patients, including advanced mechanical circulatory support.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CSICU/CVICU experience at a Level I trauma/academic facility
• Strong experience with:
• ECMO
• CRRT
• IABP
• Post-op cardiothoracic surgery recovery
• Invasive hemodynamic monitoring
• EPIC charting experience required (no exceptions)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• VA or Compact RN License required at submission
• BSN preferred

Strong Surgical/Trauma ICU nurses may be considered if highly experienced in the above skills.

• 14-bed CSICU
• Common cases: CABG, valve repair/replacement
• Aortic and vascular surgeries
• Heart, liver, kidney transplants
• Thoracic surgeries (e.g., esophagectomy)

Advanced Therapies & Equipment

• ECMO
• CRRT (NxStage preferred, not required)
• LVAD/RVAD (HeartMate II/III, HeartWare HVAD, CentriMag)
• EndoTool
