Job summary

The Dell Medical School in conjunction with Ascension Texas seeks Advanced Practice Nurses or Physician Assistants for the Institute for Cardiovascular Health. You will split time between telemetry and clinic, delivering patient-centered care in outpatient and inpatient settings.

You will collaborate with supervising physicians, perform assessments, provide treatment under prescriptive authority, and document care in line with specialty standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited training program and board certified by the respective accreditation body.
• Physician Assistant with NCCPA board certification and licensed by the Texas Medical Board.
• Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority and board certification (AANPCB or ANCC) and licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Capacity to work well with physicians and other care providers as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Performs health assessments, screening, and patient care.
• Provides direct treatment and management of conditions via prescriptive authority or referral.
• Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with standards and policy.
