Job summary

Cytokinetics is launching its first commercial product for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and you will lead the territory sales strategy, collaborating with medical, payer, and patient navigation teams to meet customer needs.

The Cardiovascular Account Specialist will build strategic plans, engage KOLs and hospitals, and drive demand with clinical information while ensuring program resources reach HCPs and patients in your territory across Corpus Christi, McAllen, and broader regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years experience in biotech/pharma sales.
• Experience as a rep with sole ownership of the territory preferred.
• Cardiology, rare disease, or specialty product experience preferred.
• Specialty product launch experience preferred.
• Experience with patient service hubs and specialty pharmacy distribution preferred.
• Knowledge of KOLs and key accounts within assigned territory preferred.
• Expertise in evaluating territory market trends and strategic planning that drives results and exceeds sales objectives required.
• Experience selling to complex accounts, identifying influential stakeholders, and meeting patient needs required.
• Clinical acumen with a passion for understanding and championing customer and patient needs required.
• Agree to credentialing requirements for access to academic institutions, medical facilities, and organizations in the territory.
• Willing and able to travel 25–75% depending on business needs and geography.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record to operate company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sales results, work autonomously, and be the single point of accountability for the successful launch in the territory.
• Develop territory-specific account plans identifying opportunities and coordinating with local cross-functional teams.
• Serve as subject matter expert delivering clinically relevant disease and product information to drive demand for the launch.
• Communicate approved resources to healthcare professionals, including marketing materials, payer information, formulary coverage, patient support services, and educational programs.
