77 consultants is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery coverage in Ohio. Assignment runs from September 8, 2026, 7 AM to September 18, 2026, with potential adjustments for existing locum coverage. Ongoing coverage required: 1–2 weeks per month.

Schedule is Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM, with floor call/beeper 3 PM–7 AM. Weekends require 24-hour on-site coverage, with floor or OR call. Inpatient/hospital-based setting with potential for supervision and teaching roles.

Qualifications

Board Certification in Vascular Surgery required.
ACLS certification required.
Ohio medical license active (no pending applications).
Clean professional background with no malpractice or licensing issues.

Responsibilities

Post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular surgical patients.
Emergency surgery on cardiothoracic and vascular cases.
Consultations and referrals from the ED, Cath Lab, and other hospital providers.
Vein harvesting proficiency during cardiac surgery.
Surgical assistance, prescription writing, care coordination, rounding, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
Ordering and managing diagnostic tests.
Retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass conduits.
