Qualifications

• Board Certification in Vascular Surgery required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Ohio medical license active (no pending applications).
• Clean professional background with no malpractice or licensing issues.

Responsibilities

• Post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular surgical patients.
• Emergency surgery on cardiothoracic and vascular cases.
• Consultations and referrals from the ED, Cath Lab, and other hospital providers.
• Vein harvesting proficiency during cardiac surgery.
• Surgical assistance, prescription writing, care coordination, rounding, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Ordering and managing diagnostic tests.
• Retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass conduits.

Coverage Dates: From September 8, 2026, at 7 AM to September 18, 2026, with potential adjustments based on existing locum coverage.

Ongoing Coverage Needs: Minimum of 1 to 2 weeks per month required until 2027.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with floor call/beeper coverage from 3 PM to 7 AM. On weekends, 24-hour onsite support and availability for floor or OR call.

Mandatory Job Requirements:

• Board Certification in Vascular Surgery (required)
• Active Ohio medical license (must be current, no pending applications)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Active DEA registration (required)
• Clean professional background, including no malpractice or licensing issues (strictly enforced)

Experience Requirements: Minimum of 5 years in Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery services (required)
