Job summary

UPMC Southwestern PA, in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, seeks BE/BC Critical Care Intensivists to join the Cardiothoracic ICU team at UPMC Presbyterian.

The successful candidate will provide attending-level critical care to high-acuity cardiothoracic patients, supervise trainees, and contribute to education and clinical research within a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment. Academic appointment commensurate with credentials; salary is competitive.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and board certification/eligibility in critical care medicine.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Experience in cardiothoracic critical care and ECMO is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide attending-level critical care in CTICU for high-acuity patients.
• Lead multidisciplinary rounds and develop evidence-based plans.
• Supervise and teach fellows, residents, and students.
• Document timely and accurately; participate in quality improvement.
