Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian is seeking a BE/BC Critical Care Intensivist to join the Cardiothoracic ICU team. The successful candidate will provide attending-level care for high-acuity cardiothoracic patients, lead multidisciplinary rounds, and teach fellows, residents, and students in a collaborative academic environment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree; board-certified or board-eligible in critical care medicine; US medical licensure eligible in Pennsylvania.
• Excellent communication skills, professionalism, sound clinical judgment, and a commitment to teamwork, education, patient-centered care, and an inclusive academic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide attending-level critical care in the CTICU at UPMC Presbyterian.
• Lead multidisciplinary ICU rounds and develop evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic plans.
• Supervise and teach fellows, residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation; participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Support clinical care in other ICUs across the UPMC Health System based on departmental needs and mutual agreement.
