The Department of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC is seeking board-eligible or board-certified intensivists to join our faculty in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) at UPMC Presbyterian.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and US board certification/eligibility in critical care medicine
• Eligible for Pennsylvania medical licensure
• Training may include internal medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, anesthesiology, neurology or other relevant critical care training
• Strong communication, professionalism, teamwork, patient-centered care and inclusive academic environment

Responsibilities

• Provide attending-level critical care in the CTICU at UPMC Presbyterian
• Lead multidisciplinary ICU rounds
• Develop and implement evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic plans
• Supervise and teach fellows, residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers
• Support quality improvement, patient safety, and operational initiatives
