The Department of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC is seeking board-eligible or board-certified intensivists to join our faculty in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) at UPMC Presbyterian.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and board certification/eligibility in critical care medicine; eligible for PA medical licensure.
• Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Clinical judgment and commitment to patient-centered care.
• Prior cardiothoracic critical care experience desirable but not required.
• Desirable training in ECMO or mechanical circulatory support.

Responsibilities

• Provide attending-level critical care in the CTICU at UPMC Presbyterian.
• Lead multidisciplinary ICU rounds.
• Develop and implement evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic plans.
• Supervise and teach fellows, residents, medical students, and APPs.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Support an inclusive learning and clinical environment.
• Opportunities to provide care in other ICUs based on department needs.
