UofL Health's Cardiology Associates in Louisville, KY is seeking a Medical Scheduler who coordinates follow-up visits, tests, and procedures for patients of all ages. The role interfaces with staff and physicians to ensure timely appointments and clear patient instructions.

Responsibilities include pre-certification, scheduling tests, calling patients with instructions, and using Epic and Centricity systems to retrieve records and communicate with other hospital departments.

Responsabilités

• Schedules follow up/return visits to our office for patients
• Obtains appropriate pre-certification and pre-authorizations, as needed
• Schedules medical tests and procedures for patients
• Discusses patient instructions for procedures with patient so patient has clear understanding of what is expected
• Calls patients to schedule procedures and give instructions over phone with follow-up letter with instructions
• Uses Epic, Centricity Business, online paging systems and retrieves information from other hospital systems
