Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of scheduling experience in a multi-specialty clinic.
• Direct patient interaction experience.
• HIPAA confidentiality and privacy awareness.

Responsibilities

• Schedule follow up/return visits for patients.
• Obtain pre-certification and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Schedule medical tests and procedures (e.g., interventional cardiology, electrophysiology).
• Explain patient instructions for procedures to ensure understanding.
• Call patients to schedule procedures and provide follow-up instructions.
• Use Allscripts, Centricity Business, and online paging systems.
• Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
