Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a Specialty Practice Scheduler to ensure patients receive timely, compassionate service in the practice and on the phone. You will facilitate patient care between specialty, primary and ancillary services, and spend at least 70% of time scheduling clinic and diagnostic testing appointments.

You will obtain prior-authorizations, coordinate pre/post testing, and perform clerical/data management tasks to support referral coordination and practice operations.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required; annual registration competency exam expected.
• Experience with medical office operations including scheduling, registration, EMR, patient flow, billing, referrals, and payor guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in person and on the phone in a cordial, professional, and compassionate manner.
• Schedules clinic and diagnostic testing/procedure appointments at least 70% of the time.
• Obtains diagnostic testing/procedure prior-authorization with payers.
• Ensures pre- and post-diagnostic testing appointments are scheduled/completed.
• Coordinates notes and information among clinicians regarding procedures and appointments.
• Communicates with outside offices and hospital departments to facilitate care.
