Zusammenfassung

Starling Physicians seeks a Cardiology Patient Care Coordinator to coordinate and schedule initial consultations with cardiologists and manage referrals from receipt to completion. You will be a first contact for new patients and referring offices, ensuring a seamless process and timely access to cardiology care.

This role requires excellent organizational skills, detailed communication, and the ability to handle a high-volume workload independently while supporting timely access to cardiology

Qualifikationen

• High School Degree or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in a medical office or health care setting.
• Comfort with technology including the Microsoft suite of products.
• Prior experience using an electronic health record (EHR); Epic experience strongly preferred.
• Passionate about customer service and patient satisfaction.
• Ability to independently manage a high-volume workload with multiple referrals and competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and timely follow-through.
• Courteous, empathic, and professional manner.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Aufgaben

• Manage a high volume of new patient cardiology referrals (400+ per month) via Epic, fax, email and phone.
• Collaborate with cardiology providers, clinical staff, scheduling teams and referring offices to ensure timely patient access.
• Request and obtain pertinent medical records from referring physicians, hospitals, and other facilities.
• Review referrals for completeness and follow up with offices and/or patients.
• Ensure clinical documentation is indexed and available in the medical record to support care continuity.
• Coordinate with practices and internal teams to resolve referral issues that delay care.
• Respond to inquiries regarding referral status and scheduling within established workflows.
• Document all referral-related communications in Epic and resolve needs efficiently.
• Provide monthly volume reports to management and leadership.
• Multi-task using Epic and other systems while managing referrals, requests, and scheduling.
