Job summary

Starling Physicians in Connecticut is seeking a Cardiology Patient Care Coordinator to manage referrals and schedule initial consultations with cardiologists. You will act as the first point of contact for new patients and referring offices, ensuring a seamless referral process and timely access to care.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a medical office, EPIC experience preferred, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a medical office or health care setting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Comfort with technology including the Microsoft suite of products.
• Prior experience using an electronic health record (EHR); Epic experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of new patient cardiology referrals received through the Epic referral work queue, fax, email, and telephone.
• Collaborate with cardiology providers, clinical staff, scheduling teams, referring offices, and other departments to facilitate timely patient access.
• Request and obtain pertinent medical records from referring physicians and hospitals.
• Review referrals for completeness and follow up as needed.
• Ensure clinical documentation is indexed and available in the medical record.
