Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a dedicated 1:1 clinical partner to a General Cardiologist, providing essential support across hospital and clinic settings.

You will lead inpatient rounds, manage admissions, perform non-invasive diagnostics interpretation, and handle outpatient follow-ups with a focus on heart failure, CAD, and arrhythmias.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in cardiology is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Nurse Practitioner credential issued by the Tennessee Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily hospital rounding, admissions, and discharge planning in cardiology.
• Conduct outpatient clinic visits, post-discharge follow-ups, and medication titrations.
• Provide chronic disease management for heart failure, CAD, and arrhythmias.

Join our Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford team as a dedicated 1:1 clinical partner to a leading General Cardiologist, serving as an essential extension of their practice across both hospital and clinic environments.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Join an established team of 13 physicians and 11 APP's
• Call structure: N/A
• Practice setting: 50% inpatient, 50% outpatient
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in cardiology
• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
• This non-invasive cardiology opportunity offers a predictable, 50/50 split between inpatient hospital management and outpatient clinical continuity backed by a large, well-established team and robust APP support.
• Manage general cardiology patients across the full continuum of care-leading daily hospital rounding, admissions, non-invasive diagnostic interpretation, and discharge planning in the hospital, while conducting outpatient clinic visits, post-discharge follow-ups, medication titrations, preventive patient education, and chronic disease management (heart failure, CAD, arrhythmias) in the clinic setting.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Master's degree of Nursing require
