Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Heart – Clarksville is seeking a Nurse Practitioner capable of supporting an outpatient cardiology clinic. You’ll join a team of three cardiology physicians and one additional APP, focusing on comprehensive care for cardiac patients in a rural outpatient setting.

This role emphasizes patient panel management, limited hospital duties, and handling prior authorizations as needed, with M-F, 10-hour shift scheduling and CME opportunities.

Qualifications

• Cardiology experience preferred; APP experience required.
• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing prior to hire date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or multi-state Compact license before hire date.

Responsibilities

• M-F Outpatient Clinic responsibilities.
• Treating patients in a Cardiac outpatient rural clinic.
• Collaborating with 3 full-time physicians and one other APP; rotating specialists as needed.
• Managing patient panels with limited hospital duties and handling prior authorizations when needed.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
