Job summary

ANA-Ohio is seeking a highly experienced Pediatric/Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for a Part Time, onsite role in Akron, Ohio. The NP will work in collaboration with a physician under a Standard Care Arrangement to deliver advanced nursing care in high-acuity settings, including PICU and related units.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PICU NP experience, national certification, and prescriptive authority.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of PICU Nurse Practitioner experience.
• National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS as required by practice setting.
• Active Ohio NP license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Performs health assessments and physical exams in critical care settings.
• Develops diagnoses by analyzing collected data.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates tests to guide care.
• Develops treatment plans and collaborates with physicians.
• May prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by authority.
• Facilitates discharge planning and patient education.
• Provides consultations and coordinates with healthcare teams.
• Participates in quality monitoring and FPPE/OPPE processes.
