VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, and NPs in clinical and clerical tasks. You will manage patient flow, prepare exam rooms, document in the EHR, take vitals, and assist with referrals and orders. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited medical assistant program.

Some experience and BLS are preferred. Travel to satellite offices may be required; excellent communication in English and multitasking skills are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant program or phlebotomy program required
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire required
• Ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks efficiently
• Basic computer proficiency required

Responsabilités

• Prepares the examination room and escorts patient into the room
• Maintains efficient patient flow and supports clinical care
• Prepares information needed for patient visits and records in EHR
• Assists with vital signs and allergy documentation in EHR
• Maintains supplies and assists in ordering as needed
• Facilitates transitions of care to other facilities as required
• Provides scribing services as needed
• All other duties as assigned
