Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs or NPs with patient flow, room preparation and clerical tasks across our multispecialty and urgent care network.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, documenting in EHR, scheduling, stocking supplies and providing scribing services as needed. English communication, basic computing skills, and BLS are required; travel to satellite offices may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program required.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination rooms and escorts patients to rooms.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and room readiness.
• Documents information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Assists with scheduling and referrals as needed.
• Provides scribing services and supports care transitions.
