Indiana University Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting, room patients, document information, and assist with discharge and scheduling. The role requires strong communication, the ability to work independently, and may involve outreach locations.

The ideal candidate has Medical Assistant program completion and MA certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC). Cardiology experience and success in high-volume clinics are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience required or preferred.
• Cardiology experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume outpatient setting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to work at outreach locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
• Obtain and document patient information.
• Assist with patient discharge processes.
• Coordinate testing, procedures, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
• Support providers in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinic day.
• Travel to outreach clinic locations as needed.
