Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from a Medical Assistant program required.
• CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA or CMAC certification required.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Strong data entry and math skills.
• Experience with patient care and front-office tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care under supervision, manages patient flow, general lab work, and front-office tasks.
• Performs registration and scheduling per procedures; maintains EMR files.
• Precepts MA team members or MA externs as requested by leadership.
• Ensures medical orders and referrals are carried out accurately and timely.
