The position emphasizes accurate lab work, vaccines, and coordinated patient communications within a 40-hour week, with no night or weekend shifts. A formal MA program or equivalent military training is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or may have completed structured military training which is clinical in nature per DD214 in lieu of a formal medical assistant program or EMT.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies and procedures.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks including vital signs, medical history, and screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties including venipuncture, specimen handling, and CLIA-waived tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines as directed.
• Manages tasks such as referrals, scheduling, and insurance authorizations.
• Cross trained for duties within clinic scope and maintains timely communication.
