Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Medical Assistant in Concord, NC. The role supports a cardiology clinic with patient rooming, vital signs, history, medication reconciliation, and screenings. You will assist providers during procedures and manage labs, vaccines, and referrals.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and completion of an accredited MA program (or equivalent military training). AHA BLS and competency assessments are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or relevant military clinical training per DD214.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years verifiable MA experience in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to MA scope of practice and maintain competency in area of specialty.
• Perform rooming/visits tasks: vitals, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assist or perform procedures as ordered by provider.
• Perform lab duties: venipuncture, labeling, POCT, CLIA-waived tests.
• Safely administer medications and vaccines.
• Handle referrals, scheduling, and authorizations as needed.
• Cross-train for related clinic duties.
• Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork.
