Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or military training that is clinical in nature per DD214 in lieu of formal MA program.
• 2 years verifiable full-time MA experience within last 5 years (for IL/WI divisions).
• Wake Forest: MA program completion or equivalent training.
• Floyd & Navicent: MA program completion or 2 years MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, history, screenings, etc.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties including venipuncture and POCT.
• Administers medications and vaccines following medication rights.
• Handles referrals, scheduling, and communications.
• Cross-trained for tasks within clinic scope.
• Maintains clean, stocked work environment and safety.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care and teamwork.
