Job summary

Advocate Health, affiliated with Atrium Health, is seeking a Medical Assistant for a 40-hour work week in Kernersville, NC. The role focuses on patient preparation, basic procedures, and close collaboration with physicians to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Qualified candidates will have an accredited Medical Assistant program, BLS, and a recognized MA certification. Strong communication and computer skills are essential in a fast-paced environment with comprehensive patient care

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by AHA.
• Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA or equivalent) is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proficiency in electronic records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for exams, record vitals and history.
• Perform lab procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as needed.
• Administer routine medications under orders or protocols.
• Coordinate referrals and follow through with care plans and tests.
• Maintain patient flow and accurate, timely communication with the team.
