Job summary

Lee Health is seeking a Customer Service Representative for the Cardiology team across Cape Coral, Fort Myers, or Estero to support patients on their heart health journey. You will coordinate appointments, assist with registration, verify insurance, and help maintain accurate patient records.

Deliver friendly, professional service, answer calls, schedule visits, assist with check-in, and collaborate with providers to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than one year of clerical or administrative experience required.
• Insurance knowledge and customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and basic math skills.
• Proficiency with computers and electronic systems.
• BLS Certification required in Employee Health and may be required at other locations within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, professional, and compassionate customer service to patients and visitors.
• Answer incoming calls and schedule patient appointments.
• Assist with patient check-in, registration, and medical record maintenance.
• Verify insurance coverage and coordinate authorizations, pre-certifications, and referrals.
• Assist with charge posting, initial collections, and accurate billing information.
• Maintain accurate patient information while protecting confidentiality.
• Collaborate with providers and team members to support efficient daily operations.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support the practice.
