Job summary

Kaweah Health is seeking a Student Nurse Intern to support the Cardiac unit under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with direct patient care, communicate with patients and families, and support the care team while enrolled in an accredited RN program.

The role requires enrollment in an ASN or BSN program, completion of certain semesters, and adherence to nursing school requirements.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Preferred: CA Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
• Enrollment in an RN program at ASN/BSN level.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates and communicates with the patient, family, and other health care providers under RN supervision.
• Forms the plan of care with the RN and involves patient in decisions related to care.
• Maintains documentation in the EMR and contributes to safe and effective patient care.

Education

ASN: Enrollment in an accredited RN program with completion of 3rd semester

BSN: Enrollment in an accredited RN program with completion of 4th semester
