Job summary

Capital Health seeks a Telemetry Monitor Technician to join our care team in New Jersey. You will monitor patient rhythms, perform EKGs, and alert the care team to abnormalities while ensuring patient safety and data accuracy.

Responsibilities include maintaining logs, coordinating with nurses, and assisting with training new staff. Relevant certifications and a high school diploma are required, with CRAT/CET within 18 months and AHA BLS ongoing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must attain CRAT or CET within 18 months of hire.
• AHA BLS required; non-licensed must obtain before end of orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Place patients on telemetry with proper skin prep and electrode placement.
• Maintain rhythm strips and monitoring logs; reconcile identifiers.
• Admit/discharge patients from telemetry and monitor off-unit.
• Perform EKGs and recognize normal/abnormal waveforms.
• Page RN/team for life-threatening arrhythmias and initiate Code Blue per policy.
• Participate in unit initiatives and training; respond to calls promptly.
• Perform other duties as required by management.
