Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Telemetry Support Technician to join our patient care team. The role supports professional staff, monitors cardiac telemetry, performs phlebotomy, EKG duties, and glucometer testing as required. The position includes 36 hours per week with rotating weekends and day shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, AHA BLS, and enrollment in CRAT or CET within 18 months. Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CRAT or CET within 18 months of hire.
• AHA BLS required; non-licensed must obtain before end of orientation.
• Knowledge of word processing software and data entry skills.
• Phlebotomy, EKG training and glucometer monitoring within 4 months after hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with indirect patient care as part of the patient care team.
• Monitor new admissions in telemetry, document rhythm interpretations.
• Collaborate with RN to save data and validate interpretations.
• Apply electrodes daily and troubleshoot rhythm or signal issues.
• Perform phlebotomy, glucometer testing and EKG duties as required.
• Provide clerical tasks, chart updates and shift-change reports.
