Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, a 2‑day EKG interpretation course, and an 80% score on the EKG exam within 90 days of hire. Shift work includes rotating evenings and nights.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of the 2-day EKG interpretation class.
• Must obtain a passing score of 80% on the EKG interpretation exam within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Monitor Cardiac Rhythms: continuously observes and analyzes rhythms on telemetry for assigned patients.
• Identify Abnormalities: recognize arrhythmias and notify nursing staff of significant changes.
• Document Rhythm Strips: maintain rhythm interpretations and patient records.
• Communication: inform nursing staff about lead placement, battery changes, and escalation needs.
• Equipment Maintenance: troubleshoot telemetry equipment and involve biomed when needed.
