Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Evanston, IL seeks a Registered Nurse for the Saint Francis Tele/Med-Surg unit. This full-time Days shift (7a-7p) focuses on delivering safe patient care, coordinating care plans, and educating patients and families in a fast-paced telemetry environment.

Required are an active RN license, BLS, ACLS within hire, and basic arrhythmia interpretation; ventilator management experience is preferred. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is available.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in the Tele/med surg unit.
• Direct patient education and guidance for patients and families; supervise nursing staff.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
