Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the 7 North Cardiology Stepdown and Intermediate Care Unit in Alabama. Work 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Saturdays and Sundays, at UAB St.

Vincent's East, providing direct nursing care, monitoring patient conditions, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team. The unit specializes in post-procedural cardiac care with telemetry and skilled nursing interventions.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire. ACLS certification preferred.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing before hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per unit policies and procedures.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and communicate patient condition.
• Coordinate with all disciplines for well-coordinated care and note physician/nurse orders.
• Assess discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
