Mercy Health’s The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic, non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams using ultrasound equipment. The role includes Transthoracic and Transesophageal Echocardiography and Cardiac Stress testing.

The candidate should have an associate degree in a cardiovascular-related field, BLS certification, and echocardiography credentials (RDCS or RCS). One year of experience is preferred, with on-call responsibilities expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in an applied health science field with a concentration in cardiovascular technology, ultrasonography or related study.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association is required.
• Credentialed in echocardiography with RDCS or RCS by ARDMS/CCI.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound equipment to evaluate the heart (TTE, TEE, stress tests).
• Demonstrates ability to perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation of results.
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
• Utilizes the hospital EMR to review patient information and document critical findings.
• On-call hours required.
