Job summary

Mercy Health Partners in Ohio seeks an ultrasound technologist to operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment for M-mode echocardiography and 2-D sector scans, including color flow and doppler studies. The role requires cardiac imaging proficiency and bedside testing.

You will perform related clerical duties, document results, and assist in training students, reporting to the Cardiovascular Diagnostics Manager. A two-year associate degree and RDMS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology required.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) required.
• Minimum two years of cardiac ultrasound experience.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with critically ill patients and staff.
• Ability to transcribe medical documents accurately.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts and explain tests to patients.
• Perform tests in department and bedside; administer IV antibiotics.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to evaluate cardiac function.
• Prepare preliminary test information for physician interpretation.
• Document and proofread reports; distribute to teams.
• Maintain and disinfect equipment; assist students and clerical duties.
