Mercy Health is seeking a diagnostic ultrasound technologist to perform M-mode echocardiography, 2-D sector scans, and Doppler studies under supervision. The role includes protecting patient safety and contributing to accurate cardiac assessments.

Qualifications require an Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology and RDMS certification, plus at least two years of cardiac ultrasound experience. The position reports to the Manager of Cardiovascular Diagnostics.

Formación

• Completion of a two-year Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field.
• Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
• At least two years experience in cardiac ultrasound techniques.

Responsabilidades

• Reviews patient charts for medical history/clinical information pertinent to the test being performed.
• Interviews patients to obtain additional needed information and explains test procedures to alleviate apprehension.
• Operates diagnostic ultrasound equipment to acquire non-invasive and invasive evaluations of cardiac function.
• Compiles preliminary test information for interpretation by physician and affixes representative samples.
• Responds to STAT procedure requests and provides accurate information in preliminary reports.
