Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an experienced Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to operate echocardiography equipment, perform invasive and non-invasive tests, and provide accurate reports for physician interpretation.

Shift: Days/Afternoons. You will work in a hospital setting, supporting patient care with emphasis on quality imaging and documentation. RDMS certification required, 2+ years of experience, and strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through the American Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• At least two years of cardiac ultrasound experience; RDMS registered.
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to interact with critically ill patients.
• Ability to accurately transcribe medical documents.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts and interview patients to obtain clinical information.
• Perform testing in the department and at bedside; monitor vital signs and administer IV antibiotics.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to evaluate cardiac function and measure dimensions.
• Prepare preliminary data for physician interpretation and ensure accuracy.
• Document results and respond to STAT requests.
• Maintain and disinfect equipment; assist with related clerical duties.
• Train students on ultrasound techniques.
• Uphold Mercy Health values and provide patient-centered care.
