Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer Registered to join the Echocardiology team at Fairfield Hospital. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams to evaluate the heart, including Transthoracic and Transesophageal Echocardiography, as well as stress testing, and you may participate in on-call coverage.

Required: Associate degree in a related health field, BLS certification, and national credentialing in echocardiography (RDCS or RCS).

Qualifications

• Associates degree in an applied health science field with a concentration in cardiovascular technology, ultrasonography or related study.
• BLS certification – American Heart Association required.
• RDCS or RCS credential required by ARDMS or CCI.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound equipment to evaluate the heart.
• Demonstrates ability to perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Prepare and monitor patients before and during procedures.
• Utilize the hospital EMR to review patient information and document findings.
• On call hours required.
