Responsibilities

• Oversees and supervises activities in the assigned nursing area on the 8-hour day shift.
• Develops annual departmental goals and budgets; monitors expenditures and payroll accuracy.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and executive leadership to implement programs and staffing plans.
• Ensures staff performance evaluations, orientation, and ongoing professional development.
• Maintains patient safety standards and uses evidence-based practices to drive quality improvement.
• Performs and delegates tasks within licensure and experience, ensuring staffing aligns with acuity.
