Job summary

Memorial Health System in Marietta, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift leadership on a nursing unit. You will render professional nursing care, guide patient education, and supervise ancillary staff within the hospital's standards of excellence.

Responsibilities include shift reports, hourly rounding, assessments, care planning, discharge teaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Current Ohio (or WV) RN license, BLS, and ACLS within one year are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Participates in bedside shift report/handoff.
• Performs hourly rounding.
• Obtains required patient assessments and reassessments per nursing policy.
• Develops a plan of care and teaching plan based on assessed needs of patient and family.
• Coordinates timely patient teaching for discharge and documents appropriately.
• Implements and monitors nursing interventions.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Meditech within required timeframe.
• Participates in interdisciplinary rounding and collaborates with team.
• Communicates patient condition changes with physician using SBAR.
• Manages patient care and delegates according to patient needs and caregiver skill.
• Maintains therapeutic relationships and promotes positive patient experience.
• Assists with discharge planning and utilizes appropriate resources.
