Job summary

Memorial Health System in Marietta, OH is seeking an experienced Nurse Leader to oversee unit staffing, performance, and professional practice.

The role requires an Ohio RN license, a BSN (or higher) and 3–5 years of leadership experience; a business/healthcare degree is acceptable.

You will coach staff, drive evidence-based practice, and collaborate with departments to achieve goals while upholding the system's commitment to patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in the State of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
• 3 – 5 years of leadership experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN), Business, or healthcare related field required.
• Must meet staff nurse job requirements for individual nursing unit and maintain competency requirements.
• Maintains compliance in RQI.

Responsibilities

• Maintains appropriate staffing levels for the unit.
• Performs nurse leader rounding.
• Coordinates orientation or new employees and education of all staff.
• Holds staff accountable for their behaviors through coaching and stepped discipline.
• Completes annual evaluations of employees in a timely fashion.
• Will promote and be accountable for professional nursing practice on their units.
• Will work closely and collaboratively with various nursing and non-nursing departments to meet organizational goals.
