Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Coordinator Scheduling for the Heart & Vascular Service Line at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. The role schedules patients for cardiac non-invasive procedures, verifies demographics, and coordinates front office activities to maintain smooth daily operations.

You will verify insurance, obtain pre-authorizations, and assist with charting while providing excellent patient service. Strong PC skills and 1 year in healthcare are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 1 year in medical office setting preferred.
• Familiar with CPT, ICD-10, H&P and labs procedures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for Cardiac Non-Invasive procedures and verify demographics.
• Manage front office schedule and ensure daily adherence.
• Coordinate patient throughput and assist with chart organization.
• Maintain department environment and perform routine office duties.
• Answer phones, greet patients and verify insurance/pre-authorizations.
• Schedule appointments and send reminders for consultations and visits.
