Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• One to three years clerical experience in a physician office preferred.
• Computer knowledge such as Medical Office and Scheduling Applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and diagnostic tests/procedures for all patients.
• Obtain required registration, insurance coverage information, referrals and pre-certifications.
• Confirm patients' diagnostic appointments and hospital procedures, update records.
• Notify providers with information and communicate medical information as needed.
• Verify accuracy of diagnostic testing and hospital procedure schedules in the scheduling system.
