Job summary

Adventist HealthCare in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist to extend our mission of physical, mental and spiritual healing. You will develop individualized exercise prescriptions, perform fitness evaluations, and guide patients through home programs in a fast-paced outpatient cardiac rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Exercise Physiology, at least 1 year of experience, ACSM certification, and ACLS/BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year experience.
ACSM certification required or in progress.
ACLS and BLS for Healthcare Providers with 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Develop individualized exercise prescriptions to increase physical fitness, strength, endurance, and flexibility.
Design customized exercise programs to meet health care needs and athletic performance goals.
Perform detailed fitness evaluations, needs analysis, and progress notes for all clients.
Provide corrective coaching on ergonomic posture and countermeasures during training and testing.
Conduct exercising and pharmacological stress evaluations with protocol selection and monitoring.
Supervise and monitor patient progress, goals, and treatment plans throughout participation.
Instruct patients on home exercise programs.
Work in a fast-paced outpatient cardiac rehabilitation setting with multiple clients.
